I bought these to replace some Cobra walkie talkies that I used to have. These are so much better and feature packed. They have scan, monitor, backlight, flashlight, private channels and a really big feature is that you can shut the sound off (beeps) when you communicate (I think it still beeps when you turn it on) but that is one feature my other radios did not have, it's nice if you are trying to be quiet and not give away your position; and I've never had to not give away my position but who knows, I bought these for an emergency... GREAT RADIOS!!! 5 out of 5 for sure. Ultimately, they have a slightly cheap build but it's a super cheap radio, packed with features and they work well. Even with rechargeable batteries, you still get full battery bars.

Perfect size easy to clip on backpack and instructions are user friendly easy interface and compact for use in general hiking or climbing love the color as well great job with these and the price is a great value as well
